Are You Feeling Red, White or Blue?
The aftermath of the holidays can leave a person feeling tired and stressed. There is a build up before the holidays that means people cannot wait for the excitement. The Fourth of July may not have the build up that Christmas does, but there is a definite element of expectation in the air. The days are warm and fireworks go off sooner or later. A number of towns have festivals to celebrate the start of summer. When the excitement, does end, all the Red, white and Blue jubilation may lead to depression, July’s holiday letdown is one of the quickest ones to recover from.
There are a number of activities a person can enjoy after the end of Independence Day. They include swimming, hiking, camping and even just going for a drive in the county. The best thing a person who is experiencing in the dumps can do during this is to get out and do something. His spirits will be lifted in no time. It will be many weeks before another holiday comes up, after all. August has no bank holidays. Labor Day in September marks the end of the summer travel season. Kids normally go back to school just before it.
